Counseling and Life Coaching Services

Our Services

Although the world is full of

suffering, it is also full of the

   overcoming of it."

~Helen Keller

Going through counseling and therapy is an opportunity to receive psychological support and learn essential skills to better deal with issues in life such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, relationship challenges, parenting distress, career changes, and many others. This is a one-on-one conversation between you and a counselor or therapist in a safe, caring, and confidential environment. Together, you will explore feelings, beliefs, and behaviors to gain a better understanding of yourself and work towards desired change through learning and developing mindfulness, emotion regulation skills, distress tolerance skills, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.

Explore the various aspects of your life and set goals to make it even better. A coach becomes your accountability partner, one who is dedicated to help you discover and unlock your potentials as a person. Your coach will help you make, meet, and exceed your goals in various aspects of your life, including but not limited to your career, roles, personal development, fitness, and self-care. The major elements of coaching includes guidance, empowerment, and improvement, with your coach keen to helping you reach your full potential.

Distance counseling, psychotherapy, or coaching is a great fit for people who have difficulty accessing mental health and coaching services due to location challenges or for those who prefer to receive support at the comfort of their own home. Unlike traditional therapy and coaching, this service does not have in-person interactions and only requires you to have a decent internet connection, a video chat platform (we use Zoom) and a space where you would feel comfortable to talk freely. If you're located out of the country or in a different time zone, we can find a common hour when both parties are available.

Workshops and Group Therapy Sessions

As a form of brief therapy, workshops and group therapy sessions provides an avenue for people to discuss similarly-themed issues among themselves, led and facilitated by a therapist or a counselor. This is an interactive and oftentimes creative way to discover oneself or learn new life skills and also a great way to build a peer support system. Knowing that you are not alone in whatever you are going through instills hope and helps interpersonal learning through interaction, giving feedback, and receiving feedback. This form of support is also available for companies as part of their employee wellness initiative.

Complementary and Alternative Therapies

Lighthouse believes that healing is holistic and should involve mind-body interventions and energy rebalancing through complementary therapies such as yoga, meditation, Reiki, aromatherapy, exercise, and others. This area of healing may be integrated into your program if necessary; if not, you may choose to include these into your program or do them intuitively. For more information, please send us an email and we would gladly connect you to our complementary and alternative therapists.
